Description
Every person needs the support of others, but we look for very special people to support adults with developmental disabilities. As a Personal Care Attendant (PCAs) with Georgia MENTOR you’ll be one of those special people.
 
PCAs are the link to the community for those they serve. For some, they may be the eyes of those unable to see, or the voice for those who can’t speak. For others, they are friend, cheerleader and subtle support on the path to one’s true potential.

Georgia MENTOR is seeking Personal Care Attendants/Caregivers to provide assistance to adults with developmental disabilitiesin a home setting under the direction of Registered Nurse. PCAs provide assistance with daily activities such as bathing, lifting, meal planning and personal care.  PCAs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities. In addition, PCAs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.

Qualifications:
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide Certification
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
  • Six months of experience in human services preferred
  • Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
