Every person needs the support of others, but we look for very special people to support individuals with disabilities.  As a Mentor Recruiter with REM Ohio Inc you’ll be one of those special people.


REM Ohio Inc is seeking a Mentor Recruiter to build and enhance an active network of Mentors and successful Ohio Shared Living homes through the strategic recruitment, networking, and education efforts.  This position will develop and implement recruiting and retention tracking tools and strategies, and measure success of campaign effectiveness, creating and designing new campaigns as needed to continuously attract new Mentors.  In addition, the recruiter will help to educate community partners about the Ohio Shared Living program with the goal of increasing referrals to this program.  The primary focus of the position is recruitment. The recruiter will also be involved with training new Mentors, and helping to match referrals/mentors to create successful homes, and providing support to ensure the success of each home.


This position will work to develop services in the Northwest Area of Ohio.  It will require in-state travel and is a mobile position with much driving and remote work.  While the position will report to our Eastern Regional team in Akron, drop-in work/office space is available at several locations in the Northwest area of the state for use as needed.


Starting salary $40,000.00, Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, vision, HSA’s, paid training and more.

  • Bachelors degree required; preferred focus in human services, marketing or business
  • Three years of related experience required
  • Other education and experience plus licensure as required by state
