Description

CareMeridian is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to assist with overall financial planning and analysis, revenue and financial statement review, ensuring accuracy and making recommendations for multiple sites and states. The Senior Financial Analyst will complete review of all transactions that impact the P&L by providing on-going monitoring and reviews of information, completing analytical reviews, and providing commentary to management. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will prepare daily, weekly, and month end metric reporting and analysis to individual programs as needed and defined. They will also coordinate and assist cost report preparation, audits and associated analysis.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Assists Business Director and Business Manager in budgeting, forecasting, and financial targets for the business units.  Meets with Operations Leadership, analyzing trends and presenting results. Reviews all budgets/re-forecasts completed to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Create models that provide financial analysis and decision support to senior leadership on key business issues as needed.
  • On a monthly and as needed basis analyzes and reviews the monthly financial results against established targets, KPI’s, trends, and data. Understand key drivers behind budget and forecast variances
  • Perform month-end close processes and analysis. Provide journal entries as needed.  
  • Assists with ensuring Sarbanes Oxley compliance with all assigned areas and other audit requirements.
  • Assists with monthly review and insightful analysis of financial results with recommendations and action steps to deal with variances.
  • Drive consistency and standardization of all operating group reporting and metrics to allow for value added analysis.
  • Performs other related duties and activities as required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, CPA or MBA preferred
  • 4-5 years experience in accounting/finance

 

Requirements:

  • Experience with Hyperion Smartview and Oracle AP/GL
  • Excellent computer skills, data entry speed and accuracy, and related office equipment; Advanced Excel with Macro experience
  • Exceptional communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously and prioritize deadlines
