The Area Director is responsible to supervise services for people with disabilities within a region or portion of a Southern Region. The Area Director may supervise individuals living in Adult Family Homes(AFH’s), Community Based Residential Services(CBRF’s) or certified homes.
The Area Director supervises assigned Program Directors and is responsible for the operation of specific sites or services including program services, personnel management, financial management, physical plant, customer service and quality enhancement programs. Above all, the Area Director is responsible to protect and promote the health, safety and well-being of the people served.
¨18 years of age or older.
¨Bachelor’s degree required, in related field
¨Experience in periodic and residential services
¨Three to six years of experience significant management experience, preferably in the human services industry
¨Knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state regulations.
¨Demonstrated ability in areas of leadership, personnel, program operation, and fiscal management.
¨Skilled in written and oral communication, community relations and service development.
¨Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of behavior management principles, program development, and monitoring techniques.
¨Eligible as determined by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Department of Human Services, and the Company’s Corporate Compliance Plan.
¨Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets driving record requirements as defined by the Company.
