Description
Every person needs the support of others, but we look for very special people to support  individuals with disabilities; children with emotional, behavioral or medical complexities; children and adults with brain injury. As a Behavior Specialist with REM-The MENTOR Network you’ll be one of those special people.

To that end, the Behavior Specialist role is a fantastic role to continue your career path in Social and Human Services with a myriad of career options to move up and across the organization.
 
REM WV is seeking a Behavior Specialist to implement the treatment plan for behaviorally challenged and emotionally disturbed individuals by providing individual and/or group support and intervention.  This individual may complete assessments and evaluations, develop a plan and teach based on the assessment.  The Behavior Specialist may also assist with the intake process.

 


Qualifications:
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in human services field
  • Documented training in behavior modification techniques required
  • Minimum of two years experience in behavioral management role required
  • Other education and experience plus licensure as required by state
  • Experience working with Title XIX Waiver program rules, regulations and limitations required
